Photo gallery Viewing images Explore the new additions just click on the thumbnails on the right Image search methods Central dropdown menus Category /Species Type Keyword top right of page Use dropdown menus for Photographer, Country, Category Copyright and use of images Photo gallery Gallery of members' pictures from around the world (informative, an aid to identification and for enjoyment) F11 function key is a toggle switch to give maximum image area on screen or information bar Image size (680 x 680 pixels) is much less than originals (most images have been resized) Viewing images Click on a Thumbnail and the 680 x 680 picture will appear Click anywhere on picture and a slightly smaller picture with information will appear Click on the picture again to see the larger image Return at any time by clicking Back link (near Category/species search box at top of page) Green link buttons (top of the page) will take you directly to any other part of the site Image search methods 1: Choose Category then Species from the Dropdown menus This search shows the variety and number of types of image available on the site 2: Keyword Search Type in search word (any: species, country, location, etc) and click “Search”. Example: Typing “Spain” selects all thumbnails (all species, all categories) that have Spain as part of location Speed up search by typing search word and also selecting category from dropdown menu below search keyword. Example: Typing “Spain” and selecting “Birds” will produce a set of thumbnails of all birds photographed in Spain Typing “Spa” will produce thumbnails associated with Spain, Sparrowhawk, etc. Part words are much less selective in searches 3: Search with Dropdown Menus (Photographer, Country, Category) Select “Photographer” box, click arrow to open then click on any name and thumbnails will appear Select “Country” box, click arrow to open then click on any Country and thumbnails will appear Select “Category“ box after either Photographer or Country and refine either search by category Copyright (use of images) The copyright of all the images on this website remains with the photographer.
